Giovanni Tessitore
Giovanni Tessitore is a distinguished professional with a multifaceted background spanning academia and law enforcement. Graduating with a degree in Computer Science and later earning his PhD in Computational Science from the University of Naples Federico II, Tessitore's research focused on applications of Artificial Neural Networks in modeling brain areas associated with action recognition.
Transitioning into the realm of law enforcement, Tessitore joined the Italian State Police in 2011 and was assigned to the Forensic Science Police Service. His tenure within the force has been marked by a relentless commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology for the advancement of forensics and investigative techniques. Initially tasked with coordinating image and video processing and analysis, in 2017, Tessitore's expertise and leadership qualities led to his appointment as the head of the Electronic and Digital Investigations unit. In this pivotal role, he oversees a wide array of critical functions including wiretapping, audio and video analysis, voice and face comparison, digital forensics, and cybersecurity.
