Jamil Hassani is a seasoned law enforcement professional with a distinguished career in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). As a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) at the FBI Sacramento Field Office, SSA Hassani currently holds the crucial role of leading the squad responsible for investigating Cyber-Enabled Complex Financial and Healthcare Fraud.

Hassani embarked on his journey as an FBI Special Agent (SA) in 2004 at the FBI Sacramento Field Office where he investigated International Terrorism cases. Additionally, SA Hassani was an esteemed member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, contributing to high-stakes operations.

In 2008, SA Hassani transferred to the FBI San Francisco Field Office, where he focused on Cyber Terrorism cases and actively participated in joint international operations. His efforts contributed significantly to the disruptions and dismantlement of several Cyber Terrorism enterprises.

In 2011, SA Hassani was promoted to the position of Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) at FBI Headquarters. In this role, he served as the FBI Cyber Division's liaison to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), assuming responsibility for program-managing Cyber National Security threats. His strategic oversight and collaboration with DHS were influential in enhancing the nation's cybersecurity posture.

Expanding his global reach, SA Hassani embraced an assignment in Amman, Jordan, in 2017, where he served as the FBI's Assistant Legal Attach'. In this role, he fostered invaluable relationships with Jordan's Federal Law Enforcement entities, promoting cooperation and strengthening international law enforcement efforts.

In 2020, SA Hassani returned to the Sacramento Field Office, focusing his expertise on leading a dedicated team in combating various violations, particularly the surge of cyber-enabled fraud during the pandemic. His leadership and unwavering dedication continue to play a pivotal role in safeguarding financial and healthcare sectors from fraudulent activities.
