Jean-François Gaillet has engineering degrees from the Institut Supérieur Industriel of Mons (Belgium), from the Institute Polytechnique of Toulouse (France) and from the Solvay management school of Brussels. After a career involving 20 years of international experience in ITS and automotive industry, he joined 12 years ago the Vias institute, the Belgian national institute for road safety and mobility. He is actually the director of the research center of the institute. He is active in research and innovation projects, in business development and homologation and certification of products. He is also representing the institute in different international associations including PIARC, CORTE and CITA.
