Brigadier Mubarak Alkhyeli currently holds the position of Director of Gulf Cooperation Council Police (GCCPOL) – General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Brigadier Mubarak Alkhyeli began police work in 2001, in the field of criminal investigation at the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police in the Capital Police Directorate. During 2003-2004, he worked in several police agencies in France, including the French judicial police, public security and security information. He then furthered his career in several other prestigious departments; the General Department of Strategy, the General Department of Security and Ports Affairs and the Security Information Department. During 2007-2010, he worked in the General Secretariat of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) Lyon – France, as Director of the Sub-Directorate for the Coordination of National Central Bureaus Affairs in the Middle East and North Africa.
In 2001, Brigadier Mubarak Alkhyeli received a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Police Sciences from the Police College in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and in 2005, a Master’s degree in Criminal Law and European Criminal Policy from Sorbonne University, France. in 2001. He has also successfully pursued several training courses and certificates of appreciation during his career in the police field.
At the beginning of 2010, Brigadier Mubarak Alkhyeli joined the Ministry of Interior in the United Arab Emirates in the Federal Investigation Department, where he held the position of Director of the International Criminal Police Directorate (Interpol Abu Dhabi) until the end of 2013.
