Captain Aisha Saeed Harib is a researcher in the field of future innovation and emerging technologies. She is a national expert in the niche sector of public innovation and, is invested in developing radical solutions to pervasive social and environmental problems.
In 2022, Harib joined Dubai Police to establish a research and development center for enhancing public security. In this role, she is focused on developing an ecosystem for law enforcement innovation and public value that harnesses emerging technologies for greater efficiency and impact. Harib is currently working on her doctoral thesis, which investigates the impact of emerging technologies in the law enforcement sector on public value. This research forms a significant part of her doctorate, and she has already contributed some of her findings through articles published with Economy Middle East.
A diligent academic, Harib holds a Master’s degree in research methodologies from the University of Reading, in the United Kingdom, and a second Master’s degree in the field of Innovation Management from the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University. Harib is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Emerging Innovations and Technologies at the Henley Business School, University of Reading, with an expected completion date of 2025. In 2017, she was honored with the UAE Pioneers Award from the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, as well as the Social Innovation Award from the Women’s Forum in France. Harib is an active fellow of the UAE National Expert Program and a member of the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Center.
